Tampoco que sea fanático de un inicio rápido, pero es más agradable.

En los foros de Arch encontré un script que se llama quick-init, en mi caso pase de un tiempo de 24 segs. a 14 segs., nada mal.

Básicamente, lo que hace es reimplementar los init-scripts:

HOW IT WORKS
The reimplementation of init-scripts consists in the modification of the inittab runlevels and the start of system and Xorg without udev.
The first system level contains the creation of static devices necessary to boot system until fscheck. Then Xorg is started and in runlevel 3 it starts udev, swapon, all services etc…

Para quien lo quiera probar, puedo instalarlo desde AUR: quick-init.
